Kerouac absorveu a novidade e, ao contr\u00e1rio de alguns que se sentiram confusos, ele imediatamente entendeu o que acontecia ali. E\u00a0fez de Charlie Parker sua principal e eterna fonte de inspira\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0N\u00e3o apenas pelos acordes musicais, mas tamb\u00e9m\u00a0pela intensidade emocional. Poucos meses depois da morte de Parker,\u00a0no ver\u00e3o de 1955, Kerouac comp\u00f4s uma s\u00e9rie\u00a0de 242 refr\u00f5es imitando a\u00a0forma de constru\u00e7\u00e3o musical do sax alto, que deu origem \u00e0<em> Mexico City\u00a0Blues<\/em>, de 1959.<\/p>\n<p>Na trilha sonora do filme Na Estrada \/ On the Road, como n\u00e3o poderia deixar de ser, h\u00e1\u00a0duas m\u00fasicas de Charlie Parker, <em>Ko-Ko<\/em> e <em>Salt<\/em> <em>Peanuts<\/em>, esta \u00faltima uma parceria dele com Dizzy Gillespie, outra lenda do jazz.
